Young Musician's Showcase: Mark Your Calendars!


Our Young Musician's Showcase performance opportunities are booking quickly! If you have small ensembles and are interested in featuring them during Showcase performances within the lobbies of our various venues prior to the VSO Classics concerts, there are many opportunities still available. Please contact Carrie Green (Education Coordinator) via e-mail (cgreen@virginiasymphony.org) or by phone (213-1403). We feature both instrumental and vocal ensembles of no more than 25 musicians. Participating students receive complimentary tickets to the VSO Classics concert immediately following their Showcase performance!

Instrument Petting Zoo



The Virginia Symphony Orchestra, partnered with Music and Arts, give parents and their children the opportunity to explore sound together during the Instrument Petting Zoo- a preconcert activity held in the lobby of Chrysler Hall before the PB&J performance.

Delta Arts in the Schools Program, Tidewater Park Elem.



December 3, 2008- First graders from Tidewater Park Elementary experienced classical music and powerful literacy combined! VSO cellist, Mike Daniels, made sure that his musical portion was hands-on!
